Karen is a pet owner herself, and her soon-to-be mother-in-law used to serve as a dog trainer. Karen has been exposed to the world of pet care for many years, and is thrilled to be able to give something back to the animals who have offered her so much! She’s a receptionist here at Wesson Animal Clinic. Originally from Texas, Karen attended the University of Mobile to study exercise science before moving to this area with her fiancé. She joined the Wesson Animal Clinic family shortly afterward, and particularly enjoys loving on the puppies and kittens who visit the clinic and interacting with their caring owners. Karen is an avid soccer fan, and even played on her school’s team during college. She also enjoys swimming, spending time with family and friends, and doting on her own pets at home. Karen has three animal companions: Hammer the English Mastiff, a Pointer named Scout, and a cat named Izzy who likes to think she is a dog.
Logan has pets of her own, so she knows just how much they mean to the families of Mobile. For her, helping to serve the area’s pet owners as a member of the Wesson Animal Clinic team is a dream come true! Logan is a Kennel Assistant here at the hospital. Born and raised in Mobile, Logan lives with her family dog Oliver, and three cats named Smoky, Sabrina, and Porkchop. When she isn’t spending time with her own pets or tending to the area’s animals in the kennel, Logan can be found enjoying the great outdoors, exercising, and dancing.
Debbie recalls rescuing dogs, cats, birds, and even a possum while growing up here in Mobile. She’s had a deep connection with the earth’s creatures ever since she was young. Now, she’s cared for pets as a veterinary professional for more than 25 years! Debbie was first inspired to work in veterinary medicine when she took her own dog to the vet’s office for vaccines. That very day, she started talking with the technicians about their work, and interviewed with the clinic’s doctor shortly afterward. It didn’t take long for Debbie to start assisting around the hospital, and she hasn’t looked back since. Debbie’s favorite part of her job is the lasting relationships she’s formed with the area’s pet owners over the years; many of them are more like family than clients! She’s also fond of greeting new visitors to the clinic and getting them started off on the right paw. At home, Debbie lives with two wonderful cats of her own. JuneBug is a calico who was born right here at Wesson Animal Clinic, and Chili was given to Debbie by a friend six years ago.
